Mmm... Home-Grown Meat

Is this creepy? "Scientists forecast meat grown on kitchen counter"

Instead of being cut from a farm animal, the beef, pork or chicken would be grown in incubators from a few starter cells, a growth medium and some hormones to get the cells to divide.

We've all heard of genetic engineering, GMO's, etc. I find this completely creepy, but if NASA and the researchers at University of Maryland would like to invite WeirdMeat to come taste this stuff, we're willing to give it a shot.

If you were a vegetarian, would you eat this stuff?

Probably not. I guess that I've been a vegetarian for so long that I just find meat unappetizing. As well, I would be sketchy of anything grown like that.

I feel the same way as lady cooper. I'm a vegetarian too, and I just don't feel like eating any kind of meat anymore.
In a way, it just seems to much like soylent green to me. (Hey, would eat soylent green?)
Love your site by the way!

Being a devout carnivore, the Idea of Vat-Grown "meat" is quite disgusting.

It's not a "moral" issue with me, I just don't see how it would have any flavor.

The best Burger I ever had came from an angus cow that was raised 15 miles from the restaurant where I ate it. Free Range, No Hormones or growth boosters, It was Deliscious!

I know that there is no way to get the same flavor in a Lab.
